PROJECT DETAILS

This new Central Bank branch bank is located in downtown Winchester and adjacent to a historic district. In keeping with the existing architectural style, the Maple Street branch is a two-story hipped and gabled roof structure configured with brick and limestone trim. This creates a contemporary building in its massing, while the detailing is respectful of its historic surroundings.

The main fa├žade facing North Maple Street is symmetrical in nature with large massing to the center, complemented by the appearance of one story wings to the side. Cut limestone provides arches as well as surrounds the exterior windows and the main entry loggia. The building itself is sited on a stone foundation base with cut limestone banding. The red brick color is sensitive to the existing buildings in downtown Winchester.

The main banking lobby on the first level is accessible from both Maple Street, as well as from the adjacent parking lot. Drive-thru banking services are provided around its perimeter. The second floor contains a large boardroom with barrel vault ceiling and related support spaces.

This design is a prototype design for downtown, small market branches.
