Established in 1979, Sherman Carter Barnhart has offices in Lexington, Louisville, and Paducah, KY. The firm is licensed in 38 states and the Virgin Islands and designs award winning projects for civic, educational, institutional, and private clients throughout the region.

Sherman Carter Barnhart has earned a reputation for our design sensitivity to both the site and context by creating buildings tailored to their surroundings and function, yet sensitive to the environment. The firm has won over 120 design awards, including the Kentucky Society of Architects Distinguished Firm Award, and our work has been published in numerous trade and professional journals.
