Hocker graduates from Leadership Lexington

Sherman Carter Barnhart’s Nathaniel Hocker, Associate AIA, has graduated from Leadership Lexington.

Leadership Lexington has been working with new leaders in Lexington since 1979. The 11-month-long program helps participants to better understand Lexington and to prepare for the challenges it faces by meeting with and learning from leaders.

Classes meet in different locations monthly with a program topic covered by speakers and panels, tours, group activities, demonstrations and class discussions. Sessions include such topics as government, education, public safety, economic development, arts, equine, diversity, health and human services and leadership development.

Hocker holds a Bachelor and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky School of Design, as well as a Minor in Fine Arts. His responsibilities at Sherman Carter Barnhart range from programming and design, construction documents through construction administration. He has worked in residential, K-12 and Higher Education design, with an emphasis on the latter. Nathaniel has gained vast knowledge and understanding of the unique needs of collegiate staff, students and food service requirements. Most know Nathaniel to be a designer by nature. His cognizance of a well-executed project is a common element of his practice.

Hocker has received numerous awards, including the 2016 AIA Emerging Professional Award. Read more about him at: https://www.scbarchitects.com/our-people/nathan/

Great Job Jennifer Cash and team!

They're "rolling out" the football field at Boyd County High School. Here's hoping that the Lions and all of Kentucky high school sports can have a safe and fun 2020 season.
