The EPA presented Sherman Carter Barnhart the 2009 Energy Star Leadership in Housing Award. This award recognized the firm’s work in promoting energy efficient design and helping to protect the environment through its partnership with Energy Star.
Sherman Carter Barnhart has designed approximately 700 Energy Star housing units, including over 400 units at Liberty Green, Louisville Metro Housing Authority for which this award recognizes. The other units have been designed as part of the Bluegrass Aspendale Redevelopment, Lexington Housing Authority.
